This super luxury embroidery kit contains a 5 piece thread pack from the Parisienne brand Au Ver a Soie. plus a 55cm heavyweight linen panel in a natural flax colour, and it also includes all of the other materials that you will need to make a luxurious drawstring bag .
Au Ver a Soie have been making silk threads in Paris since the early 1800's, so they absolutely know a thing or two about making super high quality threads!
The pure silk thread colours wll be mixed from Au Ver a Soie's Discovery Packs, and you will receive the 'Printemps' pack of five of their most iconic threads, that's four spools and one skein;
Soie d'Alger; 7 strands of silk for easy separation. Made from spun silk making it super soft - 5 metres.
Soie Perlee: 3 Ply twisted filament silk made of gorgeous raw silk - 16 metres.
Metalisse Tresse 4: Metallic thread - 10 metres.
Soie Ovale: Low twist flat filament silk - 30 metres.
Soie de Paris: 2 ply spun silk - 16 metres.
I was inspired by the Art Deco era when designing this, it's an era that I adore, as it was so beautiful and glamorous. I have taken flavours of the Art Deco aesthetic and applied it this alphabet design on gorgeous soft white pure linen. This stylish kit makes a self lined drawstring bag, or a cushion front cover, perfect for personalised gifting, or as a gift for yourself.
The alphabet pack contains the following printed to size ready for stitching:
- Upper case
- Lower case
- Numbers
- Symbols; A star, and a heart, and the words 'Love' and 'Home.' The images shown on the green and the black linen are an example of some of the letters and symbols contained in the kit.

- Two John James Chenille embroidery needle, a chenille and a darner.

The bag measures approximately 25 x 25 cm when finished and is lined with the same fabric throughout, making it feel very luxurious.
The kit contains all the materials you will need to make the bag, apart from scissors to cut the thread and fabric. You will receive a 55cm x 55cm pure linen panel in one square, so if preferred you could make a cushion or a large bag with the panel.
The kit is suitable for beginners and advanced stitchers alike, as the stitches are easy to master, and there are videos at the website for the stitches.
If you are creating a cushion then all you will need is the stuffing and a back cover or a smaller cushion could be made using the fabric supplied. You will need a pair of scissors to cut the thread. Instructions are provided as to how I make hand sewn cushions from these panels.
Not suitable for children as it includes an embroidery needle and small parts.
The fabric and threads are washable by cool hand wash. Pre wash the linen panel if you intend on washing the finished embroidery.
