The Poppy & Tulip design has gorgeous shades of red, pink, mint green, and pea green mixed with pale apricot and a burgundy red that just makes it all pop.  This design has its roots in Arts & Crafts and I was definitely chanelling my inner William Morris when designing this one!

The Poppy & Tulip Embroidery Kit contains an extra large pure heavyweight linen fabric panel measuring 48 x 48cm. It also has a bumper pack of wool, as there is a lot of wool used in this Suzani style stitching, which builds up a surface that stands proud of the surface of the linen, making it quite eye catching.

The linen fabric is a natural beige/grey colour and is in excess of 340gsm, making it beautiful to stitch onto, and perfect for making cushions or bags with.

The kit is suitable for beginners and advanced stitchers alike, as it features mainly split stitch which is a very simple stitch to learn.  It also has herringbone, satin, and pistil stitch.

Containing pure wool threads in Pure British Wool, the light weight 4 ply wool is an absolute joy to stitch with as it's squidgy enough to hide imperfections, but it still has a form to it that creates very neat stitches with minimum effort. In terms of thickness, the wool is a fine 4 ply with the thickness of 2 ply.

Suitable for all levels of stitchers including beginners as full instructions, a stitch guide, and video stitch tutorials are all included.

Included in the kit:

  • Pure heavyweight linen fabric panel, 48 x 48cm.
  • Pure British Wool threads, cut into ready to stitch lengths and stored on a macrame ring. (A supersized wool pack).
  • John James Chenille embroidery needle.
  • Full colour printed instruction booklet with a stitch guide.
  • Printed to size A4 embroidery pattern template.

  • Video stitch tutorials at my website.
