New Guest Tutor!

New Guest Tutor!

Hello to you,

I have lots of news for you today!

I am so thrilled to say that Lindsey Dickson of Instagram fame @itsalovelydayfor will be visiting the Little house of Victoria studio for two days of workshops in October.

Lindsey is taking her newly acquired 30 year old campervan, Gretel, on a tour of the UK. The aim of the tour is to meet many of her Instagram friends, as well as producing a communal textile project with the aim of producing lots of pieces that will eventually be combined in one piece, and displayed in a gallery in Bury St Edmunds.  It will be a culmination of lots of friends stitching with one common aim, to connect to each other.

There are two stand alone days, and both will be assisting Lindsey's travels, so you will be helping greatly in achieving this common goal.  Head to the website to book your place, I don't think they will be available for long! The image shown above is Lindsey's Stitched Scroll workshop, I have seen Lindsey's scrolls so many times on Instagram, and am so looking forward to seeing these!

Ok, the second part of the news .... and probably nowhere near as exciting, but I have finished stitching Amelie, the sample for the Fabric Doll Workshops that I will be teaching at two workshops in October, the first one being at Sunny Bank Mills on the 11th of October, but if you can't come to that I will be teaching it again the week after in my studio on the 18th of October.

I really enjoyed stitching Amelie, she is made entirely of wool felt, which is a joy to stitch, even her dress was made from wool felt. Her shawl was made from linen and leftover scraps of Liberty fabric, she is very well dressed! The workshops include all materials, it won't be possible to make a doll in the day, but we will complete a lot of it, and there is an accompanying guide to make sure you finish it, along with an open invitation to bring your project back to my studio, for no cost at all.  Just check the opening times, and let me know when you would like to come along. If you would like to see what Amelie looks like, head to my Instagram or Facebook accounts.

So, that's all for now, but the 30% discount code is still valid until midnight on Sunday, that's 30KIT for 30% off all kits, with free UK postage too.

Have a great weekend.

Love from Victoria x
