Lindsey Dickson - Guest, Stitched Scroll

Service Description

I am super excited to welcome Lindsey Dickson of Instagram fame @itsalovelydayfor to the studio! You might know Lindsey from her beautiful creative projects, and seeing her thrifted and car boot finds, and listening to her Sunday chats on Instagram. Lindsey is taking her 30 year old camper van 'Gretl' on a six week journey around the UK, stopping at points along the way to meet fellow stitchers, artists and crafters, who share her love and fascination with fabric. Come and join Lindsey for a morning of slow, meditative stitching, making a beautiful, tactile fabric scroll. Suitable for all levels including complete beginners, scrolls are a wonderful introduction to the gentle world of slow stitching. All materials will be provided, although feel free to bring your own fabric, and any preferred threads that you might have. As part of the workshop you will be invited to join in with the communal 'Stitched Connections' project, for which you might like to bring an old, worn tea towel. This isn't totally necessary, as there will be some available to use. Tea and coffee will be provided, and you are welcome to bring a packed lunch to the studio, or buy something from the eateries on site. Please note that the studio is on the third floor of the mill, with stair access only. The toilets are on the same floor as the studio.
