This kit includes vintage postage stamps printed on cotton from my childhood stamp album. It's been 50 years, but at long last my avidly collected stamps are having a new lease of life!
Teamed with a 100% pure wool felt large panel and four perle cotton balls, plus vintage buttons, this is an extra special kit.
Using the simplest of applique technique, raw edge applique to stitch the printed postage stamps to the gorgeous wool felt panels. This kit is suitable for beginners, as it possible to complete the project with just a few simple stitches. For advanced stitchers, it is an opportunity to showcase your stitching skills.
Make a sketchbook cover, or a Japanese Knot bag, instructions are included for both, the image shows the completed bag in the teal felt option. The appliqued panels could have lots of other uses, and would look beautiful displayed as works of art in frames, or as a useful needle case.
The completed sketchbook cover measures 22cm x 22cm, and the bag measures 28cm x 23cm, minus the handles.

Love, this kit for it's unique and excellent quality/colour if the felt, threads and the printed postage stamp panel plus the accessories, eg needles, buttons and instructions. As it's hand stitching, I can take it on train journeys - hooray!
