The stitching on the Antique French Print kit is now finished!

Hello to you,

Here is a little update, as promised.

The stitching has now been completed, it was so enjoyable! After careful consideration, I will be making it into a wall hanging. I was going to make a cushion, but if the truth be known, I have far too many cushions!

If you would like to see how the project started, check out the previous few blogs.

The final stage involved stitching decorative buttons on, with surrounding feature embroidery in fly stitch. I also stitched some areas with wool, and made flowers with woven wheel stitch, and leaves with closed fly stitch. if you would like to know how to do woven wheel stitch, there is a free downloadble stitch lesson at the website, and closed fly stitch is covered in the video section. I made flower heads out of some buttons, and added a stem of fly stitch. Additionally, some of the detail within the pattern of the fabric was highlighted with stitch.

I hope you have been stitching along, whether that is with a kit, or with your own stash of goodies. I have made this entirely with what was in the kit, and there is absolutely oodles left over for future stitching projects.

Here is a link to the kits, and if you would like to have a go, the code 20KIT should get you 20% off these and any kits, with free UK postage. Depending on when you are reading this post is whether the code will still be applicable. If not, join up to my newsletter for regular offers and discount codes.

Below is an image of the whole of the stitching, and several close up shots too. Have a look at my Instagram and Facebook to see several in process videos.

I will be backing the piece with heavy linen, before adding an antique bobbin from which to hang it.

When the backing fabric has been added, I will post pictures on my social media channels. If you don't have Instagram or Facebook, there is a live feed that you can see on the home page of the website. Just scroll down and you will see my most recent posts.

That's all for now folks, drop me a line if you need any help, and I would love to see your finished embroidery!

Love from Victoria x
