A new date has been added to the diary for the popular Stitched Photographs workshop, on Wednesday 3rd July.
These courses usually run at the weekends, but I have squeezed another one in as many people were asking about it. See the link below to reserve your place.
This workshop is personal to you in that it adds a unique touch to your cherished memories.
Working from your photograph, which you will email or send to me by the 3rd of June, I will then arrange for it to be printed onto beautifully soft cotton linen fabric, and you will then embroider and embellish it to great effect with simple stitches.
I will guide you through the process, and as much tuition as required will be provided on stitch styles and placement of stitches.
Together we can look at the photo, and I will help you to decide which areas to stitch, and the stitches to use that will show off your photo, helping to preserve the memories for generations to come.
The photo can be of any subject; You or your family, friends, your home or special place, your pets, it can be absolutely anything. It can be in colour or black and white.
Important note: There is a 3 week lead time for the printing process, as they are professionally printed for the best results. Therefore it is important that I receive the image by the 3rd June. It is worth the wait as the print quality is beautiful, and the linen fabric is soft and easy to sew onto.
In the workshop we will also discuss the options for framing, or for alternative uses for the artwork. It could be made into a cushion, or other household objects, or accessories such as bags.
IMPORTANT: For emailing photographs, if the photos are old printed photographs, they should be scanned at the highest resolution possible and saved as a jpeg before emailing to me. If you are sending the photos from your phone, then please save and send them at the highest resolution and largest size possible. If preferred, you can drop your image at my studio for me to scan. However, there are limited days to do this at the studio, please email to check. If you would like any further information, especially on suitability of chosen photographs, then email me at hello@littlehouseofvictoria.com.
Please note that my studio is on the third floor of an old mill, and there is no lift.
