This embroidery kit is unique in that it works from your own photographs. This could be a photo of anything at all: a loved one, a pet, the family, a favourite landscape or building, anything at all.
These unique kits make an thoughtful gift to give as a creative project for someone to stitch, or to give the finished stitched artwork once it is done. It is also possible to turn your original artwork into cushions, placemats, tea towels and prints just as I have done with my original stitched artwork, the possibilities are endless! To give you an idea of what is possible this is what I have created. Working from this 50 year old faded vintage photo below, measuring just 9 x 9 cm, that my Dad took of me as a child;
I produced this stitched art work, turning the old black and white image into this stitched coloured artwork measuring 60 x 45 cm.
Embroidery kits for beginners and advanced stitchers.
These kits are for beginner level upwards, if you can pass a needle and thread through fabric then you can do this. I will guide you through every step of the way. The kits are available with or without the two hours of one to one mentoring sessions carried out online or by phone or email, whatever you prefer
I will show you how to stitch like me and how to achieve professional results that people will envy. There is also a 30 page ebook that I have written to accompany the embroidery kits. The ebook is packed full of handy hints, instructions and tips especially written for you to achieve the best results possible.
In your kit will be a thread guide detailing where the threads could go, it’s a bit like painting by numbers but this is just a guide, feel free to be more creative if you wish.
The kits should keep you occupied for quite a few hours and just think how accomplished you will feel having produced a family heirloom!
How it works;
You choose an image and send it to me digitally or by email/post.
I digitally enhance your photo and print it onto cotton linen fabric.
I select 20 full skeins of DMC stranded embroidery thread especially chosen for your image.
I produce a thread guide, a print of your image with a plan of where each thread colour could go.
I package all of the items and send to you with the ebook link.
We continue to speak in the mentoring sessions to help you achieve the best results.
