Events, Fairs & Workshops for Spring 2023!

I made a promise to myself this year, after setting up my business in 2020, and for the first two years being reticent to leave the house, but now ................... this year is the year to meet everyone!

Sunday 23rd April at The Armitage Centre, Manchester

I am thrilled to have a stand at The Textile Society Fair, which is just over a week away at The Armitage Centre in Fallowfield, Manchester. I will be upstairs in the Designer/Maker section, so please come along and say hello, it would be lovely to see you! I will be bringing along my embroidery kits and some finished samples. I have to thin down my cushion collection somehow, it is getting quite ridiculous around here if I'm honest. So the finished samples will be attractively priced!

Sunday 14th May at Sunny Bank Mills, Leeds

Another fair that I feel very honoured to have a stall at is the Threads Textile Festival at Sunny Bank Mills, in Farsley (near to Leeds).

Wow, not only does it house many fantastic textile small business, but this fair has LOTS of programmes and workshops over the days that it is open from the 12th to the 14th May. I am there just on the Sunday 14th May.

Amber Butchart is the keynote speaker, and the workshop programme looks very interesting! Sunday seems to be an embroidery flavoured day in the programme, and Claire Wellesley-Smith has a workshop then too, if you haven't read Claire's books, then I can totally recommend having a look at 'Resilient Stitch: Wellbeing and Connection in Textile Art.

New Workshop - The Owl & The Pussycat, Sunday 21st May

I have added a new workshop date for an Easy Crewel Embroidery Workshop at Eden Galleries. It is based around my three new designs, Black Cat, Ginger Cat, and Mrs Owl.

These kits have the large Organic Cotton & Bamboo fabric panels, so you can make a lovely sized cushion from them. Don't be daunted by the word 'large', the stitches are super easy and I demonstrate all of them, and you will have a printed instruction to take away with you, as well as the embroidery kit too.

New Free Resource to download

There is a new Stitch Lesson in the Free Resources section at the website that details my take on long and short stitch. Also, there are some free embroidery patterns with guides for downloading.

That's all for now folks. Have a lovely weekend.

Love from Victoria x
