Autumn news & dates for your diaries!

Hello to you,

I can't believe that September is here already, but it does bring lots of exciting things!

The exhibition by Curtains to Couture will be opening before we know it. From the 19th of September to the 3rd of October, this beautiful exhibition will be housed within my studio walls. I am sure it will feel very at home in an old cotton mill.

Autumn Overstocks Kit!

To celebrate more cosier months, and to help with stock control, the very popular Overstocks Embroidery Kit has returned. Lindsey Dickson's Workshops!

Moving onto October, the lovely Lindsey Dickson of Instagram account @itsalovelydayfor will be visiting the studio for two days of workshops, there are just a few spaces left on each day, so I would get in quickly if you would like to come along. I can't wait to meet Lindsey in person, I have followed her creative musings and car boot adventures for quite a while. Lindsey will be taking her 30 year old camper van, Gretl, around the UK with a communal project 'Stitched Connections' which will weave together the bonds formed by women through their friendships, conversations, and the simple joy of stitching. The Saturday workshop is one in which we will be stitching a fabric scroll, if you have seen Lindsey's scrolls, and have wanted to have a go, this is your chance!

This weekend at the studio - Collagraph Printing

This Sunday, I will be teaching a Collagraph Print workshop at the studio, it's a simple printing process from which you will leave with lots of prints to embroider later, as well as embroidering one of mine in the workshop.

There are lots of workshops leading up to the exhibition, I'm hoping that you will have more time in their diaries now that the schools have returned. Check out the itinerary, there is something for everyone and all skill levels. All of the workshops include materials and tuition, and are totally suitable for beginners.
