Service Description

Wet Felting is easily achievable for beginners, and involves using wool roving tufts to form felted landscape artwork. Felt Making is the oldest craft and it can be used to make many beautiful and useful objects. Would you like to learn new skills and make something beautiful and useful? Join me for a fun day of wet felt making. Wet Felting really is a very enjoyable process, in this workshop we will have plenty of time to plan and produce. In this course you will make your own wet felted landscape artwork, and you will also learn how to form your felted piece into a useful object. If preferred, you could make an abstract felted piece. I will show you simple techniques combined with hand embroidery to make rustic and natural landscapes. The hand embroidery element is optional, and it is possible to make felted landscapes without embroidering, but the extra embellishment does finish it nicely. The workshop includes all materials, and there will be a choice of many colours of merino and other pure wool tops. This is achievable for complete beginners, and all materials are included. You will be able to take some of the materials home, especially if you wish to continue with embroidery following the workshop. I will provide tea, coffee and biscuits, and it is fine to eat your own packed lunch in the studio. For further details, please email me at hello@littlehouseofvictoria.com
