Service Description

Applique and embroider with my printed vintage stamps, using pure wool felt with additions such as buttons. Included is the popular Vintage Postage Stamp Embroidery Kit, for which I will guide you through the process as we attach the printed postage stamps onto the pure felt backing fabric, to make a Japanese knot bag, needle case, or sketchbook cover. The workshop is suitable for beginners as you will work with me through each step. You will receive sufficient guidance to finish your project at home, and there is a comprehensive printed guide too. The workshop is equally suitable for advanced stitchers as it is possible to be as creative as you like, there will be a variety of stitches that can be included, including some to stretch your embroidery skills. This is a very creatively freeing process, and there are no rules as the focus is on enjoyment over perfect results. The kit that is included in the price of the workshop includes: The materials include: Pure wool felt panel, 47 x 47cm. Two x Perle 8 cotton balls. John James embroidery needles. Printed fabric panel of vintage stamps, taken from my 50 year old stamp album. Buttons. Printed guide. All other tools required will be available to use on the day, and you will have your kit to take home. Please note the studio is on the third floor of the mill, with stair access only. The facilities are on the same floor as the studio.
