Service Description

Add a unique touch to your cherished memories with this workshop. Your photograph will be printed onto cotton linen, ready for you to embroider. All materials are included, but you are welcome to bring any special threads. Email your photos to me by the 12th March, there is a lead time for the printing process, as they are professionally printed. The workshop includes cotton linen printed with your photograph to a maximum size of A4, around 28cm x 25cm, different shaped photos will be a different size. If you would like additional photos to be printed, there is an option to buy a Fat Quarter or a metre of additional printed fabric. See the Embroidery Supplies section to order. I will guide you through the process and give advice on stitch styles and placement of stitches. In this session you can add flowers and motifs as decoration and embellishment, but will not be stitching faces or hair, as this would require more time. The photo can be of any subject, and can be in colour or black and white. I will crop your photo if requested, and can change to black & white or sepia tones. Included in the workshop price: - Your photo printed on cotton linen, approx A4 size. - Cotton thread set - Embroidery Needles The bobbin and backing fabric will be available to purchase on the day as an optional extra, should you wish to finish your work the same as mine. IMPORTANT: - Scan photos at the highest resolution possible and save as a jpeg before emailing to me. Most scanners and printers have an option to scan at a higher resolution. Please ask me if you are not sure. - If you are sending the photos from your phone, save and send them at the highest resolution and the largest size possible. If the file is large, use a free transfer service like We Transfer. - If you have booked for someone else, please supply their email address and full name. This is important so I can communicate directly about their photos. - If possible, name the images as your name. - When you send your image, I will reply to confirm that the image is in the right format for printing, please look out for a reply as confirmation of receipt. Due to the bespoke nature of this workshop, once the printing has been ordered, it isn't possible to cancel or refund, but in the event of cancellation you will receive the printed fabric.
