Service Description

Give a new lease of life to your wardrobe, this even includes stitching on woollens! Do you have any moth eaten jumpers with holes? Do you have something plain and boring that could do with a little pizazz? Don't throw away your wardrobe, reinvent it instead! Bring an item along to stitch, that could be anything (although t-shirt or stretchy materials are the most difficult to stitch onto). We can also stitch onto bags or accessories, if in doubt bring it along, and we will have a look. This session coincides with the exhibition 'Small Beginnings, Great Expectations & The Lost Jackets' We will be sitting amongst beautifully stitched jackets and exhibits that will provide endless inspiration! This session is suitable for beginners, all the stitches needed will be demonstrated and full tuition provided. Designs for tracing will be available if needed, drawing skills are not necessary. The garment for stitching must be able to be held under cool water, as will be using water soluble fleece. Included: All the tools needed to stitch your project. Including threads of your choosing from my collection of cotton skeins, pure wool, pure silk, metallic threads, whatever your garment needs will be there. Tea & Coffee is also included, please feel free to bring a packed lunch, or something from the delicious eateries on site. Please note the studio is on the third floor, with stair access only.
