Wet Felted Landscapes, or Abstract Felt
Wet Felting Workshop, Thursday 24th Oct, 12.30 to 4pm at Woodend Mill One, Mossley OL5 9FQ
Service Description
Wet Felting is easily achievable for beginners, and involves using wool roving tufts to form felted landscape artwork. Felt Making is the oldest craft and it can be used to make many beautiful and useful objects. Would you like to learn new skills and make something beautiful and useful? Join me for a fun day of wet felt making. Wet Felting really is a very enjoyable past time, in this workshop we will have plenty of time to plan and produce our artworks. In this course you will make your own wet felted landscape artwork, and you will also learn how to form your felted piece into a useful object using a pre felted piece made by me. If preferred, you could make an abstract felted piece. I will show you simple techniques combined with simple hand embroidery to make rustic and natural landscapes. The hand embroidery element is optional, and it is possible to make felted landscapes without this, but the extra embellishment does finish it nicely. This is achievable for complete beginners, and all materials are included. You will be able to take some of the materials home, as well as two finished artworks. I will provide tea, coffee and biscuits, and it is fine to eat your own packed lunch in the studio. I am a qualified teacher in Art & Creative Practice, and I have demonstrated on many shows at the sewing tv channel 'Sewing Street' with my branded embroidery kits from 'Little House of Victoria', For further details, please email me at hello@littlehouseofvictoria.com
