Starts Oct 19
16 British pounds
Woodend Mill One, 3rd Floor, Manchester Rd, Mossley OL5 9AY

Service Description

A day of embroidery and rifling through my over stocks and end of line kits! Saturday 19th October. This workshop includes all materials and tuition, and you can take the kit home with you to continue at home. These days book up very quickly, so please be quick to avoid missing out! Numbers are limited to 12 people. For just £16 you can choose from my over stocks section including pure linen, heavy linen, and Egyptian cotton fabric panels, and pure wool thread sets. Some of the fabrics and threads haven't made it into kits, so you might find something unique! You can start a project in the studio, and be able to take enough away with you to finish the project at home. New designs will be added to this workshop. There will be a selection of my embroidery designs so that you can trace your chosen design onto the fabric, and then choose your threads. I will be on hand to demonstrate the stitches and to give design advice if needed. This day is suitable for all levels including beginners and there will be a stitch guide included. Please arrive at 11.00 a.m. so that you can select your preferred design and colour palette. The workshop will not start until everyone arrives, when we will then work through the stages of choosing the design and tracing the design onto your chosen fabric. If you are a complete beginner, please let me know this on arrival, and I will make sure to spend extra time with you. The kit contents with the items for working with and taking home will include; - Your chosen fabric panel. - Pure wool thread set. Choose from pure wools or merino and silk wool threads, all very beautiful. - Embroidery Pattern. - Embroidery Instructions/Stitch Guide. - John James Embroidery Needle All other tools will be available to use in my embroidery studio (hoops, scissors, carbon paper, pens, etc). There is no need to bring additional items, just bring yourself! There will be tea and coffee provided, and you are welcome to bring your own lunch to the studio, or eat at the cafes on site. Just a note though, please keep drinks away from the embroidery tables to avoid spillages. The kits are not suitable for small children as small parts and sharp embroidery needles are contained in them. Please note that the access to the studio is up three floors of stairs, and there is only stair access.
