Service Description

Join me in this full day workshop at Eden Gallery, Newburgh, where we will be getting creative by making an embroidered and embellished lampshade for your home. First we will add some simple hand embroidery, and then a pre-embellished trim of your choice. The workshop kit includes: - A 30cm lampshade kit (The shade can be used as a lamp or pendant ceiling shade). - 1 metre of embroidered trim embellishment. - Organic cotton and bamboo fabric panel. - DMC threads to embroider the design with. - One of my hand drawn designs to place onto your shade for embroidering. You will have a choice of simple designs, colours, and embellishments. You will embroider the design onto the fabric first, and then we will then make up the lampshade kit together, and lastly we will attach the pre-embroidered trim around the bottom of the shade. All stages will be demonstrated, and you will leave with your own embellished lampshade in the colour palette and design of your choice. This is suitable for all skill levels as you will work alongside me at every step. All materials are provided. I will guide you through the basic stitches, and this style of stitching is achievable for complete beginners, as you will learn one stitch at a time with beautiful DMC threads. There will be plenty of time to practice the stitches, and you will leave with confidence. I am a qualified teacher in Art & Creative Practice, and I have demonstrated on many shows at the craft TV channel 'Create and Craft' with my branded embroidery kits from 'Little House of Victoria',

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations, refunds will be issued if cancelled within 14 days of the course date. Refunds cannot be issued if it is after the 14 day period.
