Service Description

After seeing Angelina in my studio, so many people have requested a workshop to make their own fabric doll. This workshop is suitable for beginners, all tuition will be provided. In this workshop we will work together to make your own version of a fabric doll. There will be a template available to trace and follow, and the dress can either be painted on canvas like mine, or made from felt and fabric with embroidery applied. The design of the doll will be simple, with blanket stitch to fix together. Firstly, we will go through the pattern cutting, before assembling the doll, and then we will be looking at the possibilities for the accessories. There will be lots of creative ways to make accessories, you could knit a shawl and accessories can made from felt. All materials will be provided, there won't be time to completely finish your doll but you will have the materials needed to complete your doll at home. If you would like to return to a workshop to finish your doll, then the Bring Your Own Project workshop is available for £5, please enquire for available dates. The making of the doll involves just a few simple stitches, and I will guide you through the steps. It is also suitable for advanced stitchers as it is possible to be creative with the design of the doll and the embroidery. Kit Contents: Angelina is a large doll measuring 65cm in height, all materials are included and are of a very high quality making this an ideal heirloom and gift.
